Our Equipment

Buckland Fire & Rescue has evolved from the first truck in 1969 to today's range of equipment to handle emergency situations of all types ranging from structure, vehicle, grassland and forest fires to vehicle accidents and extraction.

Controlled Burning

Any person who starts a fire is responsible for all suppression costs and possible liability from damage caused by the fire. If you do decide to burn, choose to do so under conditions that minimize health and safety risks. Buckland Fire and Rescue’s controlled burn process begins with a call to the dispatch center at: 306-922-FIRE (3473)

Emergency Preparedness

If an emergency happens in your community, it may take emergency workers some time to reach you. You should be prepared to take care of yourself and your family for a minimum of 72 hours.

Remember To Call Before You Burn

Call in all controlled burns to: 306-922-3473 (Fire) If your burn is within 4.5 km of a Provincial Forest also call: 1-800-667-9660 to obtain a burn notification number.
